Sorry if this question has been covered. I searched and didn't come up with anything.
I too like may other am getting temp spikes. Total noob question, but how do I know my fans are running? I don't hear them, nor feel any sort of vibration when in direct sunlight. Are they that quiet or not running? Thanks.

The fan is probably not running. Individual hearing varies, of course, but you should be able to hear the "whir" of the fan if you're right next to it, or at least a sound difference as you cover the solar panels with your hands, then remove them.
People with excellent hearing often report they can hear the fan from a considerable distance and complain that it is an annoyance.
