I haven't seen the app version number change in a long time. Acurite has just put out some new products, so I expect an update may come out soon so the bridge can support them.
Assuming that:
1) There is sufficient resource overhead left in the bridge's limited hardware to add new features.
2) That Acu-Rite can find the source code and tool chain to build it.
3) That whoever wrote it is still around to maintain the code.
Using VIS and the USB console PC program as an example, Acu-Rite has outsourced development in the past...making all of the above legitimate concerns. I know that VIS had nothing to do with the bridge, but that doesn't mean that there isn't another similar company that developed that firmware.....
