Also, the 00875 does not have the A-B-C selection switch. And, it measures .02 per bucket-tip instead of .01.
Would you be able to tell me if the 00875 uses the same 64-bit wireless protocol as the 00899?

The displays both operate the same and store the same type of data, only different colors. The differences really are in the rain collector design and RF range. They both use the same protocol, but the 00899 has a longer range (330 ft. vs 165 ft. for 00875) because of an upgraded transmitter. I would say that overall the 00899 collector/transmitter has a slight edge over the 00875.
