Will this work with the hub for you as far as wind speed goes??

I too wish that there were sensors available separately that would be combinable through the hub. The 5-in-1 is great for some people, but for me the location where it gets unobstructed wind readings it isn't the best place for my temperature/humidity information. I solved this with a tower sensor. I'd like for the rain gauge to be in a location where I can easily keep it clean without getting 24 feet off the ground to check it/clear out bird droppings.
It would, but then I wouldn't have wind direction.
If only Acurite would get rid of the thermometer sensor here and replace it with a wind vane. It would be perfect
I have my hub connected to a Meteobridge. In the Meteobridge settings on the "Live Data" page, clicking on a sensor when you have duplicates (my 5-in-1 and a Tower Sensor) will allow me to set it as the one to use for data uploads. I use the Tower for my temperature as it's in a good location but the 5-in-1 for everything else. I wonder if adding the 3 in-1 would allow you to select to use the 3 in 1 for wind speed and you could still use the 5-in-1 for direction? The hub has a place for a 5-in-1, 3-in-1 and tower sensors (and pool even, but the update took my Pool Hawk water one off the list because it's not supported any longer as per AcuRite)
I think Lowe's carries the 3-in-1. Might be worth a trip to "borrow" one just to try it out.
I have both 5-in-1 and a 3-in-1 sensors and meteobridge.
If you select a 3-in-1 as your primary wind sensor in meteobridge, your reported wind direction will default to zero degrees North. Wind speed and direction are not separate. So unfortunatly, you couldn't use a 3-in-1 for wind speed and a 5-in-1 for wind direction in meteobridge.
