Do you think it was a bad panel or bad internal connection points/capacitors? Several people are saying their dual panel is not right. It is a shame because this could be an excellent weather station, but these issues such as the housing of the temp sensor or the ventilation fan need to be addressed. If it was me, I would put a solar shield underneath the unit, and do away with that small ventilation screen that is there now. It does next to nothing when the sun is low. I notice on some evenings, when the sun disappears off the unit and the fan stops, I gain 4 degrees briefly, and then the temp starts dropping, but it takes a couple of hours for things to catch up to where they need to be. I see this on my CWOP graphs too.
I wish someone could figure a way to get the temp sensor screen off and build a little solar shield there. The wind vane would need to be trimmed some though.
