I don't know if actually stopped accepting data. It's very possible that at least some was getting through.
From the error messages, it sounds like something was amiss with an SSL certificate.
The Internet Bridge doesn't send data via SSL (I'm not sure about the USB consoles, though). It's possible most of the troubles revolved around the web browser (and probably mobile apps) that require SSL connectivity.
