Temperature in shade vs temperature in enclosure with aspirator

Let's start with an assumption...I was always taught that temperature readings should be made in the shade.  I currently have a 5-1 Acurite Pro (2 solar panels).  Temperature is measured in full sun...

If your station is to be in the sun, a quality radiation shield is a must, and preferably aspirated. How many airports have their wx stations in the shade? If I were a betting man, I'd say none.

FYI - 3/4" schedule 40 PVC seems to fit perfectly inside the 5-n-1.    You won't be able to use the supplied bracket of course, you'll need a standoff brackets or some other way to mount the pipe.Also...
