I still don't know which sensor to trust, but am leaning toward the tower sensor. The 5 in 1 humidity runs up fast as the evening progresses while the tower very slowly increases. The 5 n 1 reading is up to 18% higher than the tower. I notice with the tower that the temp and humidity running lower produces a significantly lower dew point than most everything around me in evenings with the exception of the AWOS located around 12 miles away. Shouldn't sensors slowly adjust and not "jack rabbit" ? Same for temperature unless a strong front crosses? I think there are some very poorly shielded stations on the market if so. In the mornings, my temp is lower or the same while my dew point is higher with nearly the same or lower humidity. Not to be a wisenheimer, but with all the problems, have you considered moving on to VP2 with 24hr FARS (or anything else for that matter)? I've had mine for 8 yrs. and couldn't be happier with its performance.
I have studied these as well, and they run even higher than the acurite all in one with their humidity readings. Right now, I think I have the best set-up to date. No new equipment needed, but in time to come who knows what I will decide to do. I was hoping for someone else I guess to compare their all in one with their tower to see if I should buy a new one. Mine is 5 yrs old easy.

Here is my station in the center, with an Ambient to the north a Acurite 5n1 to the SW, a Davis east and West of the airport you see an Oregon Scientific. I think I am doing well running the lower readings.
