Did you cut a slot in the wok and insert the bridge's antenna section and let the rest of the bridge stay in the back? Or did you take apart the antenna section?

As I've stated before, if you turn the whole bridge upright with the antenna pointed horizontal, and toward the sensor(s) it makes a positive difference. I have 2 and 3 bars on my stuff. Often setting...

You might as well buy another weather station. That's too much. I bought a console for about $25 when I bought my dual solar panel 5 in 1 and got free shipping, plus discounts. I would buy something...

So, I just took the whole thing apart. If you do this, you must remove the fan blade and the wind cups, which is the hardest part. Mine actually came off without breaking! You just have to keep trying...

George's idea sounds good. As far as transmitter damage is concerned, it only transmits for maybe 1/10 of a second at a time and at very low power (0.001 watt or less) so the likelihood of any damage...

I'd remove the spring antenna by desoldering if possible. Just in case you might want to revert to it. If you leave it in it does add some inductance which would change the tuning of the antenna.......
